Are you ready for the big game on Monday?  My family is anxiously awaiting.  My son is a senior this year at Ohio State and will graduate in May.  We are super proud of him.  He will then pursue his career in Turf Management.

Bill and I probably made 400 buckeyes at Christmas.  This was our contribution to the goodie bags for out Corvette Club's Christmas party.  We made extras so that we had some to give away and also some to send back to Columbus with Billy.

If you are having a Party for the football game this would be a great sweet treat to go along with you other game day snacks.

Buckeyes

18oz jar Creamy Peanut Butter
1/2 C margarine (soft)
1 t vanilla
3 3/4 C powdered sugar
Dipping Chocolate

1. Mix all ingredients together (except dipping chocolate)

2. Form into buckeyes  (balls)

3. Dip each buckeye in the melted chocolate leaving a small amount at the top uncovered to give them the buckeye look.

Tip: when I dip mine, I poke a tooth pick into the top of my buckeye and then dip and swirl buckeye in the chocolate.  Sit on foil to harden up.
